With the spring season in full swing and lots of days around the house, it’s taken the meaning of style to a whole new level. I would even go as far as saying it’s on that comfort-only level. Besides all the varied weather conditions that we usually see, we are also facing stay at home orders in our country. For me, this time kind of brings my style back to the basics and being the sneaker loving girl that I am. Anything slip-on is my happy place. The first tip is to wear a slip-on sneaker that is effortless. With a subtle amount of checker pattern, I feel like I look super cool and cute with just about zero effort. My casual at-home look instantly gets elevated and I have a pair of shoes I can run in with the dog or step in a small puddle if it happens to be raining out. These canvas slip-ons can dry in the sun and look edgy with scuff marks. No need to worry about keeping these shoes spotless.
The second tip is to keep the colors basic. Loungewear is best when worn in colors that can be interchangeable. I like to stick with gray, white, blue, green, and black. These are all the basic colors in my wardrobe that I wear the most. You can find your basic colors by looking in your closet and seeing which colors you have the largest amount of pieces in.
My final tip for HOW TO DRESS IN STYLE AT HOME is to cuddle up in a sweatshirt. You can wear a hoodie or a crew neck. Either way, sweatshirts are going to keep you feeling warm, sassy, and comfortable. With coming in and out of the house to walk the dog, I can leave the house quickly without having to throw a jacket over my outfit. Bonus points for feeling comfortable in the house too while I have the windows open to air everything out.
